Dot IT Domain Names

Introduced in 1987, Italy’s .IT country-code top-level domain name extension is very popular both locally and in the English-speaking world. The reason is that the domain is a pronoun, which can be used for building inventive and interesting domain names – write.it, youcanmake.it and so on. This is a way to construct an easy-to-learn domain name, so that it will be easier for your visitors to come back to your website or to give it with associates and friends. The TLD can also be used for a website, which is linked to the information technology sector having in mind that IT is an abbreviation, which is recognized worldwide.

Bearing in mind that .IT domains are not sold directly by IT-NIC, the Registry that administers this TLD, such a domain can be registered through a third-party registration provider, such as ours. We will manage the registration process for you and take care of submitting your application to the Registry. You can purchase a .IT domain for a period of one year at a time, and the domains are transferable, so you can move your existing domain over to our firm and we will renew it the minute the transfer has been completed. The only requirement is that the person obtaining such a domain is required to be situated in a member state of the European Union.

Because there are existing Second-Level Domains that include names of various regions and localities in Italy reserved for local third-level registrations, new names that include geographical regions of any kind are not allowed on any level to avoid any future confusion. We do not support such third-level domains, though, considering that they can be registered only by locals.
