Dot NAME Domain Name Registrations

Established in 2001, the Dot NAME generic top-level domain extension is the sole TLD intended for personal sites only. These domain names can consist of personal or fictitious names, aliases and/or other titles people are popular by. Initially, solely third-level registrations were allowed, so if you wanted to order john.doe.name, you were required to do that under .doe.name. In 2004, however, the registration procedures were liberalized and second-level registrations were also permitted. Already grabbed 3rd-level domains remained working.
